To: Her Royal Majesty The Queen and The Royal Family
The International Tribology Council (ITC) join many around the world in mourning the loss of HRH The Prince Philip and on behalf of its members, the ITC offers its deepest sympathy to Her Majesty The Queen and The Royal Family.
The Prince was a great supporter of the ITC, hosting the 50th Anniversary of Tribology in the Portrait Gallery of Buckingham Palace and awarding the 2004 Tribology Gold Medal. He was also a close acquaintance of the late Prof H. Peter Jost, the founding father of modern-day tribology and the first President of the International Tribology Council. HRH The Prince Philip has been a staunch follower of tribological causes and the International Tribology Council and we will remain indebted to him for his support.
